For our guests convenience a 7.5% service charge as well as local and state taxes are added to our room rates during the booking procedure.
These rates are for one or two guests in a room. Additional guests are $25 per night. Rollaway beds are available and will fit in some rooms- $25 per night.
A two-night minimum is necessary on weekends from April thru October. A three or four night minimum is necessary for special weekends and events.
The Monteagle Inn is a smoke-free building with plenty of covered outdoor space to accommodate our smoking guests.
In consideration of our guests and the requirements of our insurance, the Monteagle Inn welcomes children ten years of age and above.
We love pets but do not accept them as guests at the Inn.
STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY:
Reservations may be cancelled before 15 days prior to arrival without any penalty. Reservations cancelled within 15 days prior to arrival will result in a cancellation charge of 100% of all nights lodging for each room reserved.
SPECIAL WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY POLICY:
On Special Events, University of the South Sewanee Graduation or Parent's Weekend, Sewanee drop off weekend, St. Andrew's Graduation, Lessons and Carols and Homecoming, due to numerous requests from our guests, we are changing from a wait list policy to a book now policy. Guest's may reserve rooms up to 3 years in advance. Payment in full is required at reservation with a check. This guarantees your room for this special event. We will hold a room for 10 days with a phone reservation, waiting for a check. If a check is not received in 10 days will will automatically charge your card plus surcharge., If a credit card is used for payment, there will be a 3 1/2% surcharge added. Reservation payments are non-refundable. If a reservation is cancelled and the Monteagle Inn & Retreat Center is able to re-book the room, a 75% refund will be made for the re-booked nights.
