Krug Dinner

We just had a fantastic , the oldest winery in Napa Valley. Mr. Tom Conrad, Executive VP of Krug Winery, flew in for the dinner and entertained all of us with his knowledge of The Peter Mondavi Family and their wine history. The wines were fabulous and the food spectacular. Chef Dee was at her best. A surprising pairing was lump Maryland Crabmeat and California Avocado paired with the 2005 Charles Krug Merlot. The oil in the avocado really brought out the fruit of the Merlot- delicious.

Fantastic Experience

Carol and I were fortunate to plan our visit to the mountain on the weekend of the Krug wine dinner. It was an evening of elegance in a casual manner. We made new friends, acquired a taste for some new wines, and relaxed as if there were no tomorrow. There are few places we will drive eight hours to spend a weekend but Jim and our friends and the staff make our decisions to come to Monteagle Inn seem like there were no better options!
