Winter has settled in on the Mountain PDF Print E-mail

Winter HikeWinter has settled in on our beautiful mountain. We have had some of the finest snows I can remember, soft and flaky, perfect for playing in.

Hiking the Cumberland Plateau is especially visual this time of year when the leaves are in hibernation and you can see for miles in the crisp air. The waterfalls are gushing with the rain and snow we have enjoyed and the streams are full, what beauty and power. Did you realize that we have 23,000 acres of public land around us for walking, hiking, picnicking or just finding the peace that the earth gives you when you provide it the with the opportunity. We truly do have four distinct seasons, each offering its own pleasures and treasures. God’s beauty and peace inhabits each of them.

We keep the fire going for you to enjoy with a book and cup of hot chocolate or cider, maybe even a glass of wine from our collection.

We just received a beautiful custom made wrought iron wine display rack to showcase our six monthly special wines. It is spectacular and worth the six month wait. I will try to get a photograph on the website soon; I know that you will like it.
